LOVE NATURE - BRABANTIA JOINS FORCES WITH WEFOREST TO PLANT HALF A MILLION TREES

Design brand Brabantia has teamed up with international non-profit organisation WeForest, dedicated to bio-diverse tree planting, to donate one tree for every Brabantia rotary dryer purchase.

Brabantia’s new Love Nature campaign will encourage consumers to dry their washing naturally.  Working with consumers and WeForest to protect and restore the world’s environment, Brabantia has set a goal to plant 500,000 trees.

Marie-Noelle Keijzer, CEO of WeForest: “Making good products more visible to consumers and influencing their habits to buy less and better is what we like doing.  Planting a tree for every thing we do, for everything we consume will enable us all to Make Earth Cooler in no time! ”

Tijn van Elderen, CEO of Brabantia, commented: “Every time you are drying your laundry naturally, you're being kinder to nature. It's gentler for your clothes, saves money and energy, and is better for the environment too! It’s just one of those small things you can do at home to make a difference. And doing good is feeling good.

“WeForest plants bio-diverse forests in tropical countries all over the world, helping to cool the climate whilst providing jobs for those in the poorest countries. We hope to support this by aiming to plant 500,000 trees, one for every Brabantia laundry dryer purchased by our consumers.”

Designed to give you a helping hand, Brabantia's range of laundry dryers provide a natural and stylish solution to drying your laundry. From its SmartLift Rotary Washing Line, offering up to 60 metres of drying space to its clever wall mounted WallFix that’s always ready for use.

WeForest
Rallying the global tree planting movement, WeForest is an international non-profit organization dedicated to sustainable re-forestation.
In the Sahel, in the Northeast of Burkina Faso, WeForest contributes to replanting the native forest and reverse the decline in biodiversity affecting the ‘Partial faunal reserve of Ansongo-Menaka’, whilst promoting a sustainable local economy.
The project aims to protect this highly vulnerable region of the Burkina Faso Sahel from further degradation and impacts of climate change.
The objectives are to:
•    Support biodiversity of both plant and animal species
•    Restore the local water cycle and bring clouds back to the region
•    Develop local awareness of sustainable use and management of natural resources
•    Promote the local economy while focusing on women’s financial empowerment and children’s education
